1. Organize
Many students short themselves by lack of planning and organizing. Some of the best ways to stay organized are event planners, calendars, and storage boxes. The planners and calendars can be used to jot down important deadlines and dates which will aide students in time management to help avoid worry and stress.

2. Sleep
Sleep is important for any living creature, but lots of students underestimate the need for sleep. Hours of classroom lessons and lectures can wear on the mind and body more than most know. Setting aside at least 8 hours nightly for sleep is imperative. For students, having projects, homework, and due dates on their mind makes sleep almost impossible. Luckily, there are aides (lotions, sprays, body washes, body mists, etc.) to help students get the rest they need.

3. Wake up
In today’s education system, being tardy too often makes a huge impact on your grade. Unfortunately, because of lack of sleep, loads of work, and fatigue, many students over sleep and are late to their classes which hurts their grade and makes it difficult for them to catch up with their classmates. Getting an alarm clock is the best bet for students and will help decrease the chances of being behind.
4. Tutoring
Contrary to popular belief, tutoring is not designed only for students who have trouble learning. Tutoring can be very beneficial for students who have difficulties planning and balancing their school work. Students who take the extra step to get a tutor or put together a study group are more likely to excel in the classroom.
5. Breakfast
Yes, we have all heard it for years, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”. It may be a familiar saying, but definitely a true one. While it may seem minor, with classes as early as 7 am in some schools, it is extremely necessary for students to eat breakfast before heading out to school. For those who would like an extra few minutes of sleep, breakfast bars and other on the go foods are definitely an option.

6. Get Involved
School gets more challenging each year. Extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and theater programs are great outlets for dealing with stress and help provide the balance students need during the school year.
7. Study
Last, but definitely not least, STUDY STUDY STUDY. Doing the homework, participating in class, even taking notes is not enough to help students excel in the classroom. The best way is to get books related to the subject and read and study them to get a better understanding of the material being studied. Studying is extremely important and will guarantee academic excellence.
