2020 Savings Guide

As a fresh decade begins, we believe in taking one day at a time and focusing on the present. But we still can’t stop ourselves from looking ahead at the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious sales that are in store for us! Can anyone else (not named Mary Poppins) relate?

Well, even if you don’t, you soon will. Because we’ve poured our excitement into crafting this forecast of 2020’s best deals. You’ll know when to shop for certain merchandise at a discount. And how you can make the most of your purchases with TopCashback.

January – April

Retailers like Bowflex are hyper-aware of the ‘new year, new you’ folks who flock to their local gyms in January. So, expect incredible offers on fitness apparel and equipment that can help you get in tip-top shape. When February rolls around, your attention will naturally shift to Presidents’ Day week – the best time to snap up mattresses and other home goods.

Winter gear is usually in the clearance bin by spring, sparing you from paying full price later in the year. And March has barbecue grills at lower costs than summer peak does.

Here’s another tip: don’t pass on leftover Easter chocolate at Dollar General after the holiday ends. You’ll want to take advantage of the markdowns so you can be well-stocked for next April!

May – August

With Mother’s Day and Memorial Day both held in May, the flurry of deals on furniture, spring apparel, and kitchen appliances are unsurprising. You can rely on stores like Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's to feed that frenzy, while places like Dick's Sporting Goods might be your go-to for Father’s Day savings.

Then when temps begin to heat up, so will sales on just about everything. Black Friday in July has seen participation from Walmart and Best Buy in the past. But the metropolis known as Amazon does its own thing, hosting the can’t-miss event called Prime Day.

August spells the end of summer (boo!) and the start of back-to-school shopping (hurray!). Nab pens, notebooks, folders, and more for your kids at great bargains.

September – December

Believe it or not, there are retail offers to look forward to during this time – outside of November’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday of course. Apple debuts its newest iPhone in September, which means prices of the older models are reduced considerably. October, meanwhile, has bags of candy for cheap. And denim discounts are often up for grabs.

Planning to deck the halls with Christmas paraphernalia in December? Hit up any major department store and you’re bound to find wrapping paper, decorations, or trees that’ll meet your budget.

Not to be biased, but we highly recommend bookmarking this guide for future reference. It’ll have you shopping and saving all year long. Plus, with every major sale, you can save even more with our unbeatable cash back! If you’re not a TopCashback member, don’t prolong the inevitable. Sign up today; you’ll thank us later.

Which sale are you most excited for this year?
